Pierre Fournier opened ANATOMICA in Paris, France in 1994 to revive traditional European fashion that had been lost or was being lost from the men's fashion scene at the time. He developed an "anatomical" collection that was concerned with history, tradition, and his own fit. Later, in 2006, a meeting with Kinji Teramoto gave ANATOMICA a new direction, and through the filter of the two, American-style garments made in Japan were born.
CONCEPT
Based on the history and traditions of Europe, America, and Asia, as well as a concern for fitting, the brand’s concept is to use the best materials and create anatomical products that follow the structure and movements of the human body. ANATOMICA develops universal and elegant original collections that are not influenced by the times or trends.The logo mark that symbolizes ANATOMICA, like the crown that lights up the wooden shoes, expresses Pierre’s wish to “be an eternal wardrobe that lights people up.

ピエール・フルニエが1994年にフランス・パリでANATOMICAをオープンしたのは、当時メンズシーンから失われていた、または失われつつあった伝統的なヨーロッパのファッションを蘇らせるためだった。歴史と伝統、そして自身によるフィット感に拘った「アナトミカル（解剖学的）」なコレクションを展開。その後、2006年の寺本欣児との出会いによってANATOMICAに新たな方向性が加わる。2人のフィルターを通した、日本のものづくりによるアメリカンテイスト・ガーメントの誕生となる。
ヨーロッパ、アメリカ及びアジアの歴史と伝統、そしてフィッティングへの拘りをベースに、最上の素材を使用し、人体の構造と動きに沿ったアナトミカル（解剖学的）なモノづくりをコンセプトとする。時代や物事に流されない普遍的で且つエレガントなオリジナルコレクションを展開する。ANATOMICAを象徴するロゴマークには、木靴を照らす王冠のように「人々を照らす永遠のワードローブでありたい」というピエールの想いが込められている。

We have experience that lived in California, Los Angeles, America for 29 years from the 1970s. More than 40 years, it moves into action in Asia, the Europe including United States and Japan widely in apparel domain. It is one of the hobbies that we drive, and maintain classic car by oneself from 20 generations.

■大坪洋介プロフィール
1970年代より29年間、米国カリフォルニア州、ロサンゼルスに在住した経験を持つ。40年以上、アメリカと日本を含むアジア、ヨーロッパにおいて、アパレル領域で幅広く活動。20代よりクラシックカーを運転し自身でメンテナンスするのが趣味の一つ。
現在は、常に、新しいライフスタイルを紹介する役割を担うための、懸け橋になりたいとの思いから活動している。
